COMPREHENSIVE INDEPENDENT CERTIFICATION AND HIGH STANDARDS
The METAS Master Chronometer certification is comprehensive and covers the essential functional characteristics of a watch, including accuracy, resistance to magnetic fields, water resistance and power reserve. Its standards are extremely high, with accuracy being the most important. To qualify for certification, a watch must operate with a deviation of 5 seconds per day (0 +5). This value is 5 seconds less than the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) values for the movement (-4 +6) and one second less than the internal TUDOR standards (-2 +4) applied to the brand’s Manufacture Calibre models.
